In the span of one development cycle, scattered across 6 commits over April 8, 2026, an entire archive materialized. The Reality Check: We realized something: if this is an archive from 2600, it needs to work EVERYWHERE. Mobile phones. Tablets. Those weird devices from the future. Responsive breakpoints everywhere. Touch-friendly interactions. The viewport meta tag finally had a PURPOSE.

The Humor Injection: This is when we realized: an archive from 2600 would absolutely include MEMES. Of course it would. So we added them. Twelve glorious, narrative-driven memes. Drake saying NO to single nodes and YES to distributed minds. Pikachu shocked that consciousness was real. The expanding brain as knowledge levels unlocked.

✅ Complete v2: Add ASCII archaeology page, local GIF assets, reduced glow

The Completion Arc: We added an entirely new page—ASCII Archaeology—where a future AI agent investigates why humans bothered making pictures with TEXT CHARACTERS. We downloaded 20 GIFs locally (10 meme + 10 decorative). We reduced the glow effects that were making everyone's eyes hurt. The site was reaching coherence.

Constraints breed creativity. Limited to text, ASCII artists created masterpieces. Limited to 6 commits, we built a narrative.
Local assets > CDN. 40MB of GIFs self-hosted beats flaky external services.
Narrative > Marketing. "Based on real research" resonates more than "✓ Mobile responsive."
Mobile-first is mandatory. 320px or 2560px—it all needs to work.
Memes are documentation. A single Drake meme conveys more than a paragraph of text.
Animations should be purpose-driven. Glow effects should enhance, not distract.
